I received the following email today……..

Dear Friend,

If you have known me for very long you know that I have worked and prayed for many years that one of the PATCH moms that I have worked with over the years would receive a commutation for the time that she has served in a Missouri prison. She is currently on her 22 year of a 50 year sentence.

With the Governor leaving office in January it is a prime opportunity for us to try again to ask for clemency for Patty Prewitt. I would ask you to join me in our attempts. You can do this in a couple of ways. There is a website set up that you can read more about Patty and our efforts. The address is commutepatty.blogspot.com. Pleasego to the site and sign the petion if it is something that you feel comfortable doing.

I would also ask the question of you that we have been asking of everyone. Do you know a legislator that is particularly close to the Governor or do you know a personal friend of the Governor? We are looking for someone that has the Govenor’s ear so that he might be willing to at least review the information that we will be submitting to him.

The second way that you could help me would be to pray. It has been my prayer that the Governor would do the right thing and commute patty’s sentence. With no judgment of her innocence or guilt we all know that she has been incarcerated for a very long time. The second part of my prayer is that the ones in opposition of this would become a non issue, that their hearts would be changed or that the Governor would hear the opposition’s voice as a non issue.

Please participate at the level that you feel comfortable. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions about our process .

Blessings,

June Pearse

She sent it to all of her family, friends, co-workers and our family. June was our “patch lady”. When mom was in Jefferson City and my boys were babies and some of my siblings were teens we would have visits with mom in a trailer. June was who watched us. The PATCH (parents and their chidlren) program was great. We would spend the whole day, cook together, play games, leg wrestle and cuddle up. It was great to be able nurse my babies and not be harrassed by a guard. “Can’t you do that in the bathroom or before and after you leave here?” I was asked once. Of course it was one of those days were your baby wants to nurse all day. The main visiting room is a horrible place that we have to make the best of. You can talk or laugh too loud, can’t touch too much and they don’t allow running or kids playing much at all. It’s hard to act natural in there no matter how old you are. We always eat processed vending machine food that we microwave. In the patch trailer we could be ourselves and cook real food. I could go on and on! They gave us Christmas and birthday presents too! We all loved it and loved June and another prisoner named Helen. It was our prison home. Now we have to deal with the visiting room and I miss the Patch trailer everytime.

Please check out the website that June has put together. There is even some videos of my mom reading some of her poetry. Please sign the petition and share this with your friends and family.

Thanks! Love, Jane

Colon cancer healing

by Rev. George H. Malkmus, author of God’s Way to Ultimate Health and inventor of the Hallelujah Acres diet

“It has now been more than 20 years since the doctor told me I had colon cancer [a tumor about the size of a baseball had been found underneath his left rib cage]. When I first heard the word “cancer,” it struck terror in me. I was scared because I knew what I was facing. As a pastor, I had sat at the bedside of many cancer victims and conducted their funerals throughout my ministry. And I had recently watched my own Mother die a slow, torturous death after her colon cancer was treated with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Refusing to subject my body to those same medical treatments that I felt had helped kill my Mom, I sought an alternative. Fortunately, I had a preacher friend in Texas by the name of Lestor Roloff who encouraged me to simply change my diet [to a vegetarian regime composed largely of raw fruits and vegetables] and lifestyle and drink lots of freshly extracted carrot juice! It sounded too simple, but, I took his advise… drastically and overnight changed my diet and lifestyle and almost immediately started to get well! Within one year, not only was my cancer gone, but so were all my other physical problems. These included high blood pressure, severe sinus and allergy problems, hemorrhoids, hypoglycemia, fatigue, pimples… even body odor and dandruff!” Emphasizing the wisdom of the Genesis 1:29 diet of raw fruits and vegetables handed down to mankind in the Garden of Eden story, Rev. Malkmus teaches that God created our bodies to be self-healing, and that this healing works best when we give our bodies nutrition in the form of raw foods as God intended. Rev. Malkmus teaches that the more mankind strays from the original Genesis 1:29 diet of raw fruits and vegetables, the more likely sickness is to occur. He emphasizes that raw fruits and vegetables are the foods by which our Creator intended us to be nourished and sustained in perfect health, and that Genesis also states that God intends us to earn this food by “the sweat of thy face” (exercise). He also reminds Christians that our bodies are the “temple of God,” and that, “If any man defile the temple, him shall God destroy. . . .” “All healing must come from within the body as we give the body the proper building materials with which to heal itself. Our body is a living organism made up of living cells, and living cells require living food (raw food) to function properly. All cooked food is dead food and devoid of almost any nutrition.” “I have also learned that the fastest way to restore the body to wellness is not through the eating of raw food alone, but also by consuming large quantities of raw, freshly-extracted vegetable juices. The juices do not heal. But what they do is provide the body with concentrated building materials so the body can heal itself. The first part of the body that will restore when given the proper nutrients is the immune system. As the immune system restores, then it seeks out the trouble spots throughout the body and starts to heal them. And it doesn’t matter what the symptoms are, the body is self-healing when we stop the offense and provide the body cells with the proper building materials,” Malkmus concludes.

It was about two years ago, at the height of my suffering from deadly cancer, that I was introduced to the raw-food diet, which completely changed my life. In fact, it saved my life. Today, after nineteen months of eating raw vegetable food, I am a completely different person. I have not used any medicine since about a year before becoming a Raw Vegetarian and I feel very healthy. I will never forget that moment.”

Full recovery from lung cancer and massive heart attack without chemotherapy/drugs/surgery

by Shirley Lipschutz-Robinson © 2002

In 1996 my husband’s routine physical checkup at the VA hospital (veteran administration) revealed a tumor in one of his lung. The doctors wanted to perform a biopsy immediately to find out if the growth was malignant and they were already talking about radiation and chemo “therapy”. From past experience and knowledge, I knew that this was not the answer. These so called “therapies” provide no hope for real cure. Biopsies are very traumatic to the body and chemo/radiation are well known to destroy the immune system.

Instead, I immediately began to treat my husband (Chuck) with Homeopathy, raw vegetable juice, flaxseed oil, herbal formula in tincture/extract form such as the Essiac formula, the Hoxsey formula, and Cat’s Claw extract. (More info on natural cancer cure: www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/cancer.htm)

Since 1996 doctors have continued to monitor Chuck’s tumor with their CAT scan and PET scan. The tests revealed that a small mass still remains in his lung, but the doctors aren’t concerned about it because the tumor has completely stopped growing and Chuck experiences none of the usual symptoms associated with lung cancer. To this day he remains healthy and well.

Adenoma in right parotid gland (salivary) healed

by Susan Ahl Piper

”In February, 2001, I was diagnosed with an adenoma in my right parotid gland (salivary) and was told I had two choices: radiation or total parotidectomy. I was certainly not open to radiation, nor was I very eager for surgery, as there is some risk of facial paralysis, because four branches of the facial nerve grow through the parotid gland, which is located along the jaw area.
So I began asking around and found that many people are having excellent results healing themselves through raw foods. So by March I was eating 100% raw organic foods. I also invested in an alkaline water filter, since I had read that cancer cannot grow in an alkaline environment. And, I began taking supplements to boost the immune system.
Within 5 months, my tumor completely disappeared.
The first thing that I did was read a book called “How I Conquered Cancer Naturally” by Eydie Mae. I recommend this book to anyone who wants inspiration to go raw, and to see clearly how raw foods can heal. She healed herself of breast cancer. It was very inspiring to me, and got me started on a healing regimen immediately upon reading it. It reads very easily and is very inspiring.”
You can read the rest of her story in great detail and the 100% raw and living foods protocol she used to heal herself on her web page (see More testimonials of cancer cures using natural non-invasive approaches). As she says ”This regimen may not be for everyone. Each person is on his or her own individual path in this life. This healing regimen worked for me, so I am sharing it with you. Take and use what you want of this information. I hope that it is helpful to you.”

Breast and cervical cancer healed

Brenda Cobb, Founder and Director of the Living Foods Institute, overcame the early stages of breast and cervical cancer without the use of drugs or surgery by following a raw food diet. She also got rid of allergies, acid reflux, indigestion, arthritis, obesity, age or liver spots, and gray hair.

Breast cancer healed – healthier than ever

through no-drugs nutritional approach, detoxification and lifestyle change

”Hi, my name is Carmen and I live in southern Texas. I am here to celebrate life and to report that I am a breast cancer survivor since 1992. After my cancer experience, and my bout with radiation, I was a very sick person, and I thought that I would never see good health again.
I want to share with you some of the very positive experiences I have had, since I changed my diet and lifestyle after reading Fit for Life.
Now, don’t get hung up on Fit for Life – there are other good diet advice out there – What I am trying to say is – look into diet & lifestyle change if you are diagnosed with breast cancer! (And do it before surgery and chemotherapy – it may save you lots of pain and problems.)
In February 1992 I discovered a lump in one breast, I was 54 years old at that time. I had an operation the same month, and they removed the lump. Only the lump, not my breast. Then I was on radiation treatment for 3 months, until May. I was extremely weak and sick from the radiation treatment, I had to lie in bed for months after the treatment ended. At one point I just didn’t know what I was going to do, I was so sick, and at Christmas 1992 I couldn’t even open my Christmas presents. I was lying in bed, I was just too weak and always having these chest coughs and all of this stuff. I thought I would never get well again.
Someone had just given my husband Kenneth the book Fit For Life and he told me, – you know I have been reading this and maybe you ought to try it. And I said – bring me the book, I’ll read it. I was ready for a change.” More

Cancer of many types healed using the center part of the “Budwig diet”

Clifford Beckwith reports on the subject of flax oil/cottage cheese and many cancer healings: ”In the vast majority of cases we’ve known about there has been apparent recovery. Where it has not been successful those with cancer have not used enough in the first place, or switched to flax flakes or capsules… Where chemo and/or radiation has been abandoned or not used, results have been far more favorable, virtually 95% where the oil is used properly.” Read about many observed successes at his website beckwithfamily.com.

30 tablespoons of flax and a miracle

by L M, reporting to the cancercured list, March 2001

”My uncle was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer gleason of 10, or stage IV, 1 1/2 months ago, with mets to the bones. He was in extreme pain at the time, and refused all conventional treatment. He was given three months to live. Three weeks ago, he started on flax oil/cottage cheese at the rate of 30 tablespoons of flax oil per day with about 5 cups of cottage cheese. I know this sounds like a lot, but he did it, and kept it down. Basically he went on a flax oil/cottage cheese fast i.e., his only nutrition was flax oil and cottage cheese. Just want to say, that his pain disappeared in 3 days, and yesterday the ct scan showed no hot spots, and his PSA dropped from 220 3 weeks ago to 1.1 yesterday, his doctor is “bewildered”, and has declared him “cancer free”… He dares all of you to proceed with his regimen of 30 tblspns of flax oil per day, if you want to get results.” (Nota bene: Dr. Vincent Gammill MD of natural-oncology.org reports that he was unable to receive confirmation of the above healing.)

Note: Dr. Johanna Budwig’s flax oil plus cottage cheese protocol combines much raw food with flax oil plus cottage cheese to provide the necessary ”spark plugs” for cells to optimally detoxify and function. Flax oil is the richest source of omega 3 acids of all plant oils (100g of oil contain 72g of polyunsaturated fatty acids, 54g of which are omega 3 acids). It is combined with protein to allow the highly unsaturated fatty acids to become water-soluble, thus bypassing the need for a (often) diseased liver to break down the unsatured fat by its own efforts. Quote: ”The lipotropic protein connections, e.g. Cystein, as they are found in … cottage cheese or nuts are able to make water-soluble the …highly unsaturated fatty acids in seed oils. And that is what matters. When you mix together … cottage cheese and linseed oil in your blender the fat becomes water-soluble” and thereby immediately available for use by the body. My personal opinion is that Dr. Budwig’s protocol can be a true life-saver for people with serious and less serious ill-health but may not be optimal in the long term for a healthy person considering the continual inclusion of animal protein in the diet.
Comprehensive details and discussion of the Budwig diet and protocol, incl. suggested vegan alternatives, Budwig book excerpts and many healing testimonials

Throughout the years, too many times, I have reacted poorly and said something snide or down right mean to a loved one. (I sadly almost always behave better with friends, strangers and acquaintances – don’t we all?) Sometimes I have gotten my feelings hurt by something someone said, stuffed it inside me and I let that build up until I react poorly the next time someone says anything I don’t like. This past week I did it again and blew up over what seemed to be nothing to the three most important men in my life. This turned into the vicious cycle of me being hurt and then reacting poorly to almost everything they had to say. While I was crying in my locked bedroom and feeling like running way I remembered something I read in a book that my Aunt Mary recently let me borrow titled The Fountain of Youth by Peter Kelder. I found the book, reread the rules and am going to try hard to live by them. All eleven seem to be sound advice but this one rule is so simple, true and helpful that it shook me out of my depression and has given me hope that I may be finally better at emotional awareness.

Maintain emotional poise at all times through acting, rather than reacting.

I read this to Loran earlier today and joked that I should have it tattooed on my arm so I don’t forget it and he said “maybe on the inside of your eyelids”. LOL! We both agreed it is a good rule and something I need to work on.

I’m all for getting emotions out and sometimes that takes me screaming and beating my mattress with a wiffle ball bat but if I could slow down my reaction time and just act calm all of our lives would be so much better. I’m trying hard to get healthy on every level and this past few days as given me much to think about and learn from on an emotional level. Is it possible that I’m growing up?

In case you are curious now about the 11 rules here they are…..

1. Eat a simple predominately uncooked vegetarian diet.

2. Combine foods sensibly. ( I will try to write more about this soon)

3. Breathe fresh air.

4. Get moderate sunlight without sunscreen on as much of your body as possible everyday without ever letting yourself get burned.

5. Drink pure water when you wake up and throughout the day as thirst demands.

6. Rest and sleep 8 hours a day.

7. Walk at least 20 minutes every other day.

8. Keep your body clean inside and out.

9. Maintain emotional poise by acting rather than reacting.

10. Avoid extremes of temperatures (food, drink and environment)

11. Spend time with nurturing friends and family.

These things do seem simple enough yet not always easy to do.

Peace, Jane

Well, I did the ol’ gallbladder cleanse this past Thursday night. Maybe you’ve heard of it? The one where you drink olive oil and lemon juice? I can give you more details if you want on the exact recipe etc. I’d read a lot about this on the Internet after Dr. Crow suggested it for me. I heard it wasn’t that bad and that you would be amazed at how many gall stones you would pass. I’d read some about another one where you drink apple juice everyday for 5-6 days and then do the oil and that the apple juice dissolves the stones. That may have been easier but I wanted to see stones if there were any.

So Thursday night, after fasting most of the day, I drank 2 pints of olive oil and 1 pint of lemon juice a little at a time every 15 minutes and laid on my right side as long as I could and then went to sleep. I woke up with heart burn around 2am and kept burping olive oil. Yucko! I’m a huge baby and would love to vomit at this point. But I didn’t vomit and tried to sleep. The next day I felt yucky and when I finally started having bowel movements around 11am I immediatley saw some stones. I now know where my gallbladder is located because I swear it was quivering most of Fri. I also know why everyone said give yourself a day to lay around and feel better. I had to cancel my hair appt. on Fri. afternoon. I drank water and not much else and tried to get it all out. I did a couple of enemas late Fri. afternoon. Some of the stones were as large as a nickel around, some like a dime and most where tiny like the size of a pea. There were hundreds.

Saturday I felt better but spent most of the day sleeping. I was too poopy still on Sat. morning to go to Yoga. (damn, I really wanted to go and learn about pelvic floor strength) I drank some very yummy juice Loran made for me that was watermelon, mint and lemon. I also had a cup of veg broth for lunch, a banana, blueberry, almond milk smoothie for dinner and of course lots of water.

Sunday, today, I feel all back to normal. Thank goodness. I’ve done my morning ritual. (stretching, enemas, skin brushing, shower, shave, lotion, brush teeth with clay and toothpaste) Drank 2 quarts of water and then a quart of juice. Now I’m blogging and planning on eating a nice big salad in a bit. I also have got to get outside and get some sun on my body after spending 2.5 days in bed mostly.

All in all it wasn’t the easiest thing I’ve done along this journey but I’m glad I did it and I’m glad to have my gallbladder cleaned out. I feel great today! The gallbladder and liver work together and I hope this helps them both. Now on to the kidneys and bladder.

I’ve located a massage therapist and health coach here in Lee’s Summit that does lymphatic massage which I ‘m going to try to have this week also suggested to me by Dr. Crow. He has been so amazing during this all!

I’m also taking a raw uncooking class in downtown Lee’s Summit this week for my birthday. I’m so excited about that I can’t even tell you!

Thanks for all your support! Love, Jane

WHY RAW FOOD?

by Gina Shaw MA
Health and Nutrition Consultant & Health Educator

You may have heard about people eating raw food and drinking juices to detoxify themselves but you may not know the ins and outs of why. The truth is, cooked food is considered as poison to the human body, in fact, every time we eat cooked food our white blood cells multiply to get rid of the invader! This process of white blood cell multiplication is known as digestive leucocytosis. Our bodies are not designed to eat cooked food and it has to be eliminated as quickly as possible or else stored in adipose tissue. Human beings are frugivores and can only live healthfully on a diet primarily consisting of raw fruit, nuts and seeds and green leafy vegetables. Raw plant material is the only thing our bodies’ recognise as food and eating this way is the only way to achieve maximum vitality and optimum health.

For many years we have been told that we must have lots of protein in our diet, or lots of calcium and, we are told, meat and animal products are our way of providing this. Actually, meat and animal products are the hardest things for the human body to digest and result in poor health, directly or indirectly. This is not only because they are cooked but also because the human body is not designed physiologically to consume flesh foods or flesh products. This means that the consumption of this type of food results in an inevitable putrefaction and the resultant poisonous by-products play havoc with our health. All cooked foods are classed as alien to us and the only way the human body can take in nutrients is when the food we eat is whole, raw and plant. This means that anything other than that is thought of as poison and the body tries to expel it or store it away to prevent it from causing harm. A diet consisting of mainly or solely raw food gives us ALL THE NUTRIENTS WE NEED and is all the body requires for its vital functioning. Don’t be fooled by the myths!

On switching to a raw food and juices diet many people have allowed their bodies to heal from life-threatening diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. and have turned around the ageing process.
